Vacuum Brazing

Vacuum brazed inserts enabling modification to female mould section.

Four diameter inserts produced from same material as 42Ka mould block. (aisi 420)

Process:
Degrease & fully anneal parent block - prepare and fit inserts - assembly loaded onto graphite shelf brazed & re heat treated in same cycle.

Nickle alloy filler is corrosion resistant, hard, and polishable. Joint design is extremely important to successful result. In house advice available.

Stainless Steel Food Emulsers

316 Stainless steel food emulsers illustrate the benefits of vacuum brazing. The fine screen mesh of 0.5mm can be brazed without problem to a heavy section flange. The top ring providing ragidity also brazed in same cycle.

Nickle alloy fillers comply with food safety regulations.

Mu - Metal Chambers for use in High Vacuum Systems

This area of vacuum heat treatment - Brazing provides a three fold process:

1.) To restore after machining & welding the magnetic permeability of Mu metal sheild.

2.) Braze welded seams to ensure chamber is leak tight.

3.) Process temperature sufficiently high to remove weld oxidisation & bright clean Mu - metal s/steel flange rims.

Specification:
From ambient controlled rampup to 650c equalise onto 925c equalise onto top temp 1060c hold for no less than 2 hours. Controlled cool to 200c in no less than 8 hours.
